Default Request for advice

Hi everyone, first-time poster looking for advice about buying my first minivan. Sorry if this is the wrong place to post.

I'm looking to buy a second-hand Dodge/Chrysler minivan for my wife, two kids, myself and the dog. Not to be used to commute to work or even daily. More like 2-3 times per week, within city limits, and maybe a couple of longer road trips this coming summer and later on.

Because second-har car prices are insanely high up here in Canada, I want to make as informed a decision as possible. So my question is, how many miles do you think are acceptable, from a safety and reliability POV? And how far back — is 2010 too old?

I was thinking no more than 90k miles, but even there the prices are considerably high, hence my question.

Thanks in advance.
