Don't understand the question or concern. If your vehicle was involved in the recall you should have received a notice. If your vehicle is not involved you would not have received a notice. Nothing 'swept under the rug', NHTSA would not allow that.

If you got a recall notice, make a service appointment.

This is a parts recall issued by Stellantis, and my vehicle is listed with the defective unit so I should’ve received a recall letter. And I bet there’s hundreds of other people with the same problem and paying to have it fixed. Meanwhile, it should have been covered. To the dealership it’s black and white. Your Vin number is not listed. You can’t get it fixed. But to me it’s also black-and-white. My HCU is listed on the recall as a defected item. It should be replaced.

How can they manufacture my vechicle with a defective part. Issue a recall for that part and not fix it goose?

If you think your car falls under this recall visit here https://www.mopar.com/en-us/my-vehic...ls/search.html
put your vin in if it says its recalled then make an appointment with a local dealer they will also ask for your vin and go from there .

If you review the link in post #2 you will see the history of the recall. The final analysis pointed to a replacement part used for repair. The recall is only associated with the specific replacement part and was not a factory part defect. If your HCU did not have the specific part replaced with the defective part you will not be getting a recall notice.

The recalls lists the defective HCU by the Julian Code, PERIOD!!!! My HCU is one of those units. I can’t make it any more obvious. It should have been replaced no questions asked.

So tell me how can this replacement part recall was installed in my vechicle? It’s possible this defective unit was installed before recall was issued. Regardless it is defective unit and needs to be replaced and it already has been, and Obviously fixed all the symptoms I had. Because it was DEFECTIVE.

The NHTSA recall letter also states if the defective unit is in the vechicle dealership must replace it. If not return to customer.

Sigh, take it to a dealer for service. They will be able to explain why or why not the recall applies to your vehicle If the dealer service/explanation does not meet your satisfaction, contact the zone office. No amount of posting on this website is going to affect what a dealer or FCA is going to do.

Actually dealers won’t explain it. Because most of them don’t know about , even when they search the database This is coming from experience. Even when I call Stellantis recall department they had issues finding it. So you have to go a lot deeper than that to get it resolved ,which I did. My point is just to get this across because I’m sure there’s a lot of people having the same issues because they have a defective unit and are paying to have it replaced. So remember if you have a 2011 to 2022jeep grand Cherokee or 2011 to 20220 dodge Durango and your rear brake lights stay on and your anti-stabilization disables and the auto PARK disables it's mostly due to a faulty hydraulic control unit. WHETER THE UNIT WAS INSTALLED FROM PARTS INVENTORY OR LIKE MINE DURING MANUFACTURING if your HCU Julian code falls in the range 8166- 9106 it is defective and should be replaced free of charge

ok here is your answer why they dont have any info on it yet its because its not a full blown recall yet its still in the works to have it corrected. This is a letter from march of 2023

New Safety Recall Advanced Communication – 21A FCA US LLC (FCA US) has announced a safety recall on certain Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) Hydraulic Control Units (HCU)s part number 68085397AB intended for use on some 2011 - 2022 (WK) Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2011 - 2020 (WD) Dodge Durango vehicles. REASON FOR THIS SAFETY RECALL Some of the above HCU / ABS modules may falsely read pressure in the primary circuit. When installed in a vehicle, an HCU / ABS module which falsely reads pressure in the primary circuit may illuminate the brake lights, as well as allow the vehicle to start and shift out of park without the brake pedal being depressed. This condition can cause unintended vehicle movement which can cause a vehicle crash without prior warning and/or injury to others outside the vehicle. SERVICE ACTION FCA US will conduct a voluntary safety recall on all affected parts to repurchase suspect HCUs. If installed on a vehicle, FCA US will replace the HCU. The remedy for this condition is not currently available. Dealers will be notified of the launch of this safety recall by way of established communication methods. This recall is estimated to launch in 2nd Quarter of 2023. We ask that you please take the time to ensure that your personnel are aware of this communication and are prepared to execute a customer friendly process for inquiries regarding involved vehicles.

so simply wait until the recall is in full effect either waiting on parts to become available so they recall can be started and effetely taken care of.
