Airline fees
I see US Airways is now charging for ALL drinks, water, juice anything is now $2, no doubt everyone else will be closey behind them. So airlines charge for your first bag, second bag, drinks on the plane, choosing your own seat, basically nickle and dime you, than charge a fare that is pretty high to begin with.
I'm from Michigan, but live on the east coast of North Carolina, and it takes about 18 hours to drive home, flying, between the time I leave the airport here and arrive back home took 4-5 hours total. Normally it does cost more to drive than to fly, gas around $250 round trip, made it last time without staying at a hotel either.I think despite $4 gallon, the next time I go home I will drive, it is less of a hassle, and will be cheaper for sure.
Anyone else thinking airline fare are getting riduclous, extra charges are insaney high?

It is going to be like it was many years ago, most people won't be able to afford to fly and will drive. I was talking about this with some friends this weekend. My thought is that if the airlines just raised the fare by say $20 and not "nickel and dimed for drinks, movies, bags, etc." that most people wouldn't feel so bitter about it. Most people wouldn't notice that these 'extra' fees are built into the fare.
