Default Comp. Tech People Deserve Some Credit

Some stuff that I found that they have to deal with everyday

Tech: "Tech support, how can i help you"?
Customer: "Hi I can't get on the internet".
Tech: "What version of Windows are you running?"
Customer: "Yahoo"
Tech: "Sorry, maybe you misunderstood me, is it Windows 98, 2000, XP..."
Customer: "Yea, thats it"
Tech: (its going to be a long day)
----------------------------------------
Tech:"Click the start button"
Customer: "Wheres the start button, is that the button on the front of the box"
Tech: "no ma'am it is the..."
Customer: "oh sorry, i pushed it already...for some reason its turning off"
----------------------------------------
Tech: "Ok, click on 'My Computer'..."
Customer: "YOUR Computer?!?!?!?"
-----------------------------------------
Tech: "So you're logged off."
Customer: "Yes."
Tech:"Okay, I need you to put in this special username and password that I'm going to give you."
Customer: "Do I need to log off first?"
Tech: Ugh
-----------------------------------------
Tech: How can I help you
Her: My 2 year old was on the computer and he locked it up so I restarted it and now I cant get on the internet.
Tech: (Asking generic questions about connections)
Her: No, its not that its not working, the 'e' icon is gone.
Tech:You mean the Internet Explorer icon.
Her: yeah
Tech: (Got her to copy a new icon to the desktop after much effort)
Her: But now it says 'Shortcut to internet explorer'
Tech: Just rename it
Her: How do you spell internet
Tech: I-n-t-e-r-n-e-t
Her: Okay. How do you spell explorer.
Tech: e-x-p-l-o-r-e-r
--------------------------------------
Client: My computer won't turn on.
Tech: Ok did you check to make sure everything was plugged in.
Client: Yes, the green light comes on on the Hard Drive but nothing shows on my computer.
Tech: You mean the monitor.
Client: Yes
Tech: Can you double check your connections from the monitor to the wall outlet and to the pc.
Client: I did that.
Tech: Okay we'll probably have to send someone over to take a look at it.
(My supervisor sent me to the building. I walked in and looked at the monitor. It was unplugged. Plugged it in, turned it on and left. I was so pissed.)
