Default 2004 C T&C Touring help!

My T&C has the power lift gate feature. Call it a very stupid moment on my part but I had it lifted one day and tried to shut it myself and in return it snapped the rod that I'm assuming locks it in place. It's hard for me to really explain the part I'm talking about but its a rod with a round ball on the end and it attached to an opening on another piece (I'm not looking at it so I think that's right). How do I go about getting this fixed? I can attach a picture if need be. Thanks so much!!!

I've included a link to a picture to show what I'm talking about.
