FIESTA de los Ninos, San Antonio today
Friends,
Today at Port San Antonio (the old USAF KELLY base) we had the CHILDREN's FIESTA & an antique car show on the same grounds.
While I did NOT have time to enter the 1991 LeBaron convertible (I'm a volunteer staff member of the FIESTA de los NINOS & worked an information booth from 0900-1700..) I thought that some of you might be interested in knowing about the SOLE Chrysler produced car that was on display. - A "barn find" 1957 DODGE ROYAL sedan, which the lady owner told me was essentially just "massively cleaned-up, waxed, had the usual maintenance items done on the car & then driven to the show, since it was found stored in a hay barn in 2017.". - It has about 80,000 original miles.
(Some people have all the luck, as she paid on 500.oo cash for the BIG Dodge & now has about 1500.oo invested in it now, including flushing/refilling all of the fluids, replacing rubber hoses/belts, doing the brake shoes, removing/steam-cleaning the fuel tank, installing a new battery & paying for a PROFESSIONAL cleaning/detailing.)
IF any of our members are interested in displaying their Chrysler antique car/truck next year at the Fiesta, please PM me, as we are trying to make this the PREMIER TX antique car show.
yours, tex
