Default Brakes Locked up / Sticking

Daughter's car 2000 Sebring Jxi + ABS
Both front disc brakes stick / lock up after 2 miles slow neighborhood stop/start driving.
Started getting a lockup on front left (drivers) side.
Noticed hub bearing was loose/bad --
replaced hub bearing also put on new duralast ceramic pads (both fronts).
Still sticking --
Replaced Caliper and Hose on left
Still sticking so ...
Took it to a shop and they
Replaced both Rotors,
Replaced other (right) caliper and hose.
Flushed brake lines
Still sticking so took is back to shop --
They said Master Cylinder is bad --
I took it and replaced master cylinder and
cleaned out reservoir and bled fronts.
Still sticking -- but its both now -- after 2 miles
Looks like everything is new on front -- fluid is pristine clear (Valvoline Synthetic DOT 4) -- My Jaguar should be so nice --
What is left to check ????

Thank you,

Hi Smartoblect, I was going to suggest the rubber brake lines, as they are very suspect, however since you have changed both sides they obviously arent the issue. If I was you I would also be concerned about the excess heat that they are giving off, as they most likely contributed to bad rotors and a hub failure. I can tell you from experience that excessive heat can make wheel studs very very weak.

Because you have changed all of the mechanical components already, I would look at two things. Possibly the incompatibillity of the synthetic fluid and the electrical or vacum portion of the ABS braking system.

You might want to start another thread also asking about the use of the synthetic braqke fluid in these systoms.

You also might want to start identical threads in the website as the stratus has the same setups.

i came accorss this recently, it was the wrong aftermarket brake pads fitted.

replaced pads with dealer pads and that fixed the problem. i didnt have the old ones to compare them to so i replaced them with dealer ones so i know i had the wright pads.

hope this helps, one more thing to check

Thanks for the tips -- the dodge forum suggestion was spot on --
It was the brake booster plunger needed adjusting -- I turned the tip so that it was an eighth of inch shorter and that fixed it.

I should've checked the Haynes manual more closely because it mentions that in there too.

There was also a mention of the stoplight / brake light switch adjustment on the pedal but that wasnt it in my case.
