Default crossfire odour in trunk (boot in UK!)

Hi, i bought a used Crossfire here in the UK from a Chrysler dealer and at first there was a foul smell in the trunk but I cleaned out, deodorised and it seemed ok. Now it is back about a year on - with a vengeance. Like a foulacrid odour. Any ideas out there?
