Hi,

I have a 2001 Town and Country (3.8l). When the ignition is turned off and then wait a couple hours, the Automatic Shutdown Relay (ASD) is still warm. Eventually the battery gets drained unless the engine is started before that happens. Before the battery is drained, if you remove one of the battery cables, the ASD clicks numerous times.

The engine light is on as well but I don't have the error code yet. I hope to have it tomorrow. The things I can come up with are ASD bad, wiring short or computer malfunction. If there is another electical device that is draining the battery, would the ASD be warm? I had a problem with the radio years ago where it would drain the battery even though it wasn't on.

If anyone has an idea I would greatly appreciate it.
