Reverse Backup Switch Is This It.
#12
I got one for £10 from the breakers which worked and still works perfect after 2 years. The ball bearing had flattened off inside the switch. Electrically it still worked when removed but the push rod for reverse wasnt long enough to create the contact on the flattened ball bearing when engaged. Hope this helps

My reverse lights stopped working completely too
I checked the bulbs and they are ok, Can't find a fuse for the backup lights either.
I will check the switch tomorrow..
Goggs, you say "nearside wheel", thats the front wheel at driverside correct?
You managed to repair your backup lights with it yet?

Ahhh well, depends on left or right hand steering wheel position I suppose. But anyway for all left side and right side we are sitting in drivers seat to ascertain this. So end of gearbox is on Left side, behind the wheel. As too mine, it works sometimes, but mostly not. I've still to check if its resistance in wiring connector or its the switch. One of the many repairs I've still to do when better weather.
