Will the complete engine assembly out of a 96 LHS work in a 93, or are there a lot of compatibility issues? We have a 96 with a dead transmission, and I found an inexpensive, clean 93 with a bad motor.

Wanted to find out if it would be worth the trouble to buy the 93 and swap the engines out, or if it would even work.

Thanks in advance, and I tried to search but didn't come up with much. (its possible the inexpensive lhs is a 94 - im just going by what the ad for the car said - I didn't think they started making them till 94 but I'm not all that educated on the LH cars.
