Default 2001 Concorde, need to disable or replace dash board speaker

I just bought a 2001 Chrysler Concorde LXi. This has front door speakers (bottom of doors), Infinity front speakers at the top of each door, rear speakers, and one speaker located centrally on the dashboard fairly close to the front window. The speakers sound good except for the one single (small) speaker located centrally under the front window. This speaker needs to either be replaced, or disabled, due to terrible sound. I suspect that the other speakers have been replaced by previous owners, but this single one is apparently hard to get to. Does anyone know of a fairly easy way to either disable the speaker, or get to the speaker to change it , or just take it out?
