Default 98 Concorde doesnt run

anyone know what could be the problem, my 98 concorde just quit running, it will start for a few seconds then shut off. I had to use my aftermarket remote car starter to start it because turning the key wont make it run. when it does run, it bogs down completely to a stall when you press the gas pedal, any suggestions??

How do I find out what the codes are? the car is stuck at a mall parking lot, went there this morning and unplugged the battery for 20 minutes, the only difference was that the "check engine" light did not come on while it ran for the 2 or 3 seconds that it does. as soon as I press the gas, it automatically kills the engine. I tried turning the key to "on" 3 times like I've been reading but the check engine light didn't do anything. I should note that there is an aftermarket car starter installed, its been flawless for 3 years though, but when the problem first happened, it was the only way the car would start, and when it first happened the car would actually run (unless you pressed the gas) and I was able to move it a few feet under its own idle, but now it won't run at all or at least for only a very few seconds

You need a OBD-2 code reader for about $50.

My 99 Concorde will also sometimes display codes on the odometer if the key is turned to 'on' a few times (5?) I stumbled onto this just by luck.

The codes are numbers like P0125. dodgeintrepid dot net is a good place to ask questions if you find yourself in a bind.
