Hello i have.a 2003 chrysler concorde that I seem to have a problem with my Ac belt tensioner. I'm not sure how it happened but the locking bolt on the tensioner is loose and won't get tight anymore. I've been having some weird sound that I thought kinda sounded like a ticking sound that I got louder when I press the gas pedal. I'm thinking it's a rocker arm or lifter/lash adjuster but on further investigation It sounds like it came from near the ac belt tensioner so I had my wife Rev the engine and you can actually see the ac belt tensioner move. That's when I checked the bolts holding the tensioner on and the locking bolt was loose and won't get tight. I'm just curious if anyone can tell me how to go about fixing that.

 

if the area where your tightening the nut is stripped you can remove it put washers to extend the area to get some good thread.
