Another Transmission Problem
The car is an automatic, to my knoledge it does not have a slave or a master. I have not done anything to it since I replaced the speed input sensor. It drives fine as long as I do not go over 43MPH. That is what has me confused. I am still not sure if it is going to be worth fixing or if I just need to get a new car. I guess I am going to have to wait until I get my taxes back and find an honest shop if there are any and have them check it on a computer.

You still are NOT providing enough information to accurately assess and determine an appropriate course of action. After 6 weeks of dealing with your problem. At least you can drive at 43mph. that's fast enough to get to work.... oops, you said you don't have a job... so then you really don't need to drive much. Sounds like you don't have other opportunities to make money. I've never been without a job. Although I don't 'work' for someone, every day I walk out of my house into my driveway, fix someones car and get paid... all in CASH so the useless Gov't we have has no clue WTF I'm doing. So get more than one marketable skills and unemployment is never an issue.
Ok Mr or Miss 22chrysler if you can figure out how to get your head out of your a%* (I will give you a little hint grab a hand full of hair and pull it might come out) look at the other post you will figure out that you are not the only one that has suggestions, wow the world does not revolve around you. Also yes it is true I do not have a job and I do have to drive the car other places I do have to look for a job duh. And yes I do have other skills but things are kind of limited for me now since I was injured in the military protecting the United States. So with that being said I would appreciate it if you do not have any suggestions on how to fix the car and not taking it to a shop you should keep your ignorant coments to yourself actually it would suit me fine if I never heard from you again! Thanks for all of the other suggestions from everyone else.
Ohhh poor me. I can't get anyone to fix my problems.. pal you don't know what problems are. I lost vision in one eye, part of my left leg and half my left hand in Nam.
I didn't ask for no free handouts, I don't expect someone to come to my rescue. I never gave no-one a sob story on how destitude I am (although, i've never been because I have SKILLS to make a living even with a major disability) and even with all the problems I have, I can still figure out solutions to my problems without coming across as an incompetent boob!

Right like I believe you, you are nothing more that a parts changer that thinks he knows what he is doing becaues he has a computer that tells him what part to change. That is NOT a real mechanic to me. And as far as me looking for a free handout I have never nor will I ever be. As for this post that I posted on here I was looking for suggestions on how I could get something fixed, not for some guy that thinks he is a mechanic to be a jerk and act like a 2 year old on here. As for your skills I guess you do have them one reading a dianostics computer and 2 lying. So yes you do have some problems. Once again please do not spread any more of your ignorance on my post.
i never change a part unlss I can prove teh part is bad. My credentials woudlblow uou away. Steve,
Your car is very similar to the Dodge Intrepid (of which there are more on the road). May I recommend searching Dodge Intrepid forums for 'transmission issues' or you could try TownTalk @ Edmunds .com. If you search enough places, you'll find someone who has reported the same problem (and hopefully an answer) as you.

Steve,
I had the same problem with my 2002 300m and it was not a cheap repair at the dealer. It was some sensor in the transmission according to the dealer required almost a complete rebuild of the transmission. I will look to see if I can find the bill to see exactly what they replaced.
