Default Catalytic converter question

Hi all,

I have a 00 concorde that may have a bad catalytic converter. Wanted to know if the catalytic converter is part of, or related in any way to the EVAP system? Also, would a bad catalytic onverter cause a car to run hot?
Thanks

Thanks for the input. Had a guy to look at car the other day & it didn't make sense what he told me. He said that car was overheating cause converter was bad, thanks again for setting the record straight. I didn't sound right when he said it!
