Default Code P0430 "Catalyst System Low Efficiency Bank 2"

Ok, i just got this car, and obviously this code is stopping me from getting the car smogged. the dealer i bought it from has his mechanic on the problem.

We have figured out that the code is caused by the downstream O2 sensor, probably due to faulty catalytic converter.

So i have a couple questions:

1. Which side of the car is bank 2? Drivers? Passenger?

2. He replaced the catalytic converter on the passengers side, and after a few miles, the engine light popped back up with the same P0430 code. Did the correct cat get replaced?

3. If it was the correct cat, i guess the next course of action would be to replace the offending o2 sensor.

4. If that doesn't work, what else could be causing the issue here?

Default O2 sensor

Just fixed my 04 Concorde Lxi - replace the downstream O2 sensor on the passenger side. Easy fix and you can get a Bosch sensor # 13138 from Amazon.com for $45 free shipping

good Luck!
