Default Concorde LXI hood release cable

Hey there,

I am wondering if someone of you might know how to pop the hood without the release cable? I appears that my release cable broke somewhere under the hood and not in the driving cabin.

Any idea how to do that?

thanks

depending on how the cable is run you can find it from underneath, cut it to expose the cable and pull the cut end with a pair of vice grips or pliers. you've gotta replace it anyway so cutting whats left shouldn't be an issue.

wedge the hood open until you can get a 1/2 inch or may need a 13 mm swivel socket because it is at an angle and take the latch bolts off, then get something to pull the latch off the studs, then you can pull the hood up. I had the same problem. This answer came from this site. It worked for me after trying all different things.

Dodaj you already fixed your problem? I've done emergency opening when my cable was broken, not too much space there, but as wrote, lie under a car, take some 0,5m long but thick stick and push the hood opening from down .I've done it from passenger side lied under car
