Default EGG Engine swap LHS 99 to Concorde 02

Hello.

I have a 02 Concorde limited with EGG 3.5 HO which went south recently at 310k - bearings spun.

I love the car so much so I was looking for an engine donor so I can keep it. The best value for money I found a LHS 09 which hit a deer and with the EGG 3.5 HO as well. Engine is untouched, running good.

Almost bought it just by simple comparing engine codes. Then I looked closer and it is different with that "jewelery" how I call it around it. For example, MTV and SRV system is different. The one on LHS is some kinda vacuum system while on mine Concorde it's an electric system.

The question is if I swap the block with heads as it is and I'd use all the "jewelry" around from my engine, I mean for example that top intake plenum with electric system so my PCM would be still happy to operate it.

Thoughts? Appreciate it, thanks in advance. I'll try to attach some pictures in next posts.

Yes the swap can be done HOWEVER it is a little more than cosmetic externals. The Electronics changed in 01 so the drivers side cam cog and the flywheel MUST also be changed. Retain these parts with the car you keep.
This is THE document you need that outlines everything you need to do. https://300mclub.org/forums/viewtopi...23268&start=15
Has been done many times successfully.

Thank you very much! That's a pretty good stuff to learn from. Fantastic!

I thought when the engine code is the same it should be just easy swap 1:1. Then I saw that difference in plenum amd I was like, the block and heads should be the same I keep those and swap everything around it, not that straight forward lol.

Thanks again for your help!
