I recently purchased a 2001 LHS and am very impressed with the engineering. I noticed however that in the mornings the speedometer bounces and jumps all over the place. It settles down after about 10 miles of driving but starts again for a bit then settles down Can anyone tell me what is going on with this?

(Was a Ford owner for years and now I am seeing what I have missed out on.)

anything like a check engine light on?

 

I just happen to be looking for one of those right now. Those cars are awesome. 300M is nice too.

 

The check engine light is not on. The odometer, overhead & radio display brightens at times but I figured that was a faulty light switch. Could these be related?
