Default no heat/ erratic heat

2001 voyager heat not working properly. My wife says when driving the air get hot then cools down(room temp). I tried this morning van seems to get hot coolant temp kinda slow at idle. I drove for a minute and reving engine seems to get to operating temp quickly. With engine at operating temp I didnt get any hot air, I tried reving more, I tried moving controls to cool and warm several times. A/C has worked great, first time turning on heat, just bought the van in summer. The van just has over 70,000 miles. I was gonna start at thermostat but even at operating temp it still has no heat.

Any idea would be appreciated

Default RE: no heat/ erratic heat

first thing, coolant level, if the level is low, it might not be enough to fill the radiator AND the heater matrix

My 2005 Town and Country is doing the same thing. What was your solution?
