Default MPG-Horsepower chip???

Anybody ever tried any of those MPG - horsepower upgrade chips? They promise 40 more ponies and 4-8 MPG some are as cheap as $25 on some of the online auction houses. If you read the feedback it's mostly positive, maybe a negative one once in a while. I can't believe they do what they claim for the price.Would like more MPG not necessarily HP. Thanks

Before you spend your money, try 2 tanks of BP regular unleaded gas. It looks expensive but when you do the math (your mpg) you will understand. You will gain mpg AND HP.

General rule of thumb: too good to be true, probably is. Those devices are all garbage, you'll never see a penny of your investment back.

For better mpg, keep your car tuned, tires properly inflated, and reduce your speed by approx 3-5mph.
