Default My sunroof only works for 20 minutes each morning.

Hey, all.

I have a weird problem with my sunroof. The control switches will only work first thing in the morning for about 20-45 minutes. Then, once the car warms up and I've been driving around a bit, the buttons have no effect.

If it's open or vented, it'll just stay that way until I start the car the next morning. Then it will operate normally.

Once in a while it'll work at night, and usually, if it's a warm day, it won't work at all.

Have you guys ever heard of a problem like that?

It's an aftermarket ASC sunroof. I bought the car used though, so I'm not sure if it was a factory/dealership install or what.

Should I just order a new switch? Do you think it's some wonky connection issue?

Do you guys know if the brain for the sunroof is in that little switch panel? Or is it located somewhere else? I could just use a few regular toggle switches to replace the stock one if I wanted, right?

The car obviously has enough sense to know when it's too warm and prefers you use the A/C - #nextgenerationtech

You know, there was the time my car tried to kill me with an exhaust leak... You might be right.

Only problem with the AI-AC theory is that the car still won't let me move the sunroof even if it's raining or getting cold out. It has to sit all night before I can open or close it. Even without the Red "ASC" button illuminated, it doesn't close when I shut off the car.

If it's an aftermarket product, you are much better off seeking information from the supplier of the product than here. This is a forum for Chrysler products.

Mmm... yeah. That's a good point.

Thanks anyhow, y'all.
