Default Newbie needing information

Have a 03 concorde lxi with 78K mi. that spun a bearing. I'm looking for a low mileage motor to replace the existing one with. I understand the drop in replacement has to be a 02 - 04 engine. Can someone tell me whether a 300M engine will work in this car, and what changes would be necessary to put one in it.

Thanks in advance,

Thank you FIREM for the reply, but if I understand that post, it is pertaining to a swap between a 01, to the later 02 - 04 engines.

What I am looking for is the information pertaining to the swapping out of the 03 concorde vin M engine, to say the 04 300M vin K engine. What changes would allow that to be possible?

Thank you,

You are OK, Same/ same drop in plug and play Any LH 02-04 will swap right in.
Only exception is early production 02 engines had EGR and that is a bolt on swap.

Thanks again FIREM. I have found some low mileage vin k engines, but practically no vin m. I wasn't sure if the wiring harness/ecu from the vin m would work on the vin k engines, but now that that has been put to rest, I'll proceed with getting this car back on the road again. Again, I'm really grateful for your assistance.

Best,
