just replaced ecm on my Chrysler LHS and the motor will turn over but will not start. do I have to have the used ecm I got at salvage yard reprogramed before it will work? and if so is it just as cheap to buy the programmer and do it myself?

 

What year is the car and what year was the donor engine??


99-01 engines are the same as are 02-04 BUT they will not work if swapped across year lines. There was a running change in PCM's and you MUST swap some parts for them to work.
