Default Timing belt help???

ok bear with me lol.. Well about a year ago my 97' concordes (3.5L)water pump locked up and completely destroyed the belt while i was in the middle of a highway. I had the car towed to my house and got estimates on timing belt replacement..due to not wanting to sell an arm or leg i replaced the waterpump and belt myself. before I put the belt on i realighned the camshafts back to thier nuetral position and put the belt back on. started it up, it up and ran fine for about 7 months. well after that 7 months the engine started to shake real bad (check engine light stayed on) so i parked it in my backlot for a little while... a week later it wouldnt start at all. The engine would rotate and hesitated to start but nothing.. its doing the same exact thing when i blew out the belt the first time... is the timing off or something? i would appreciate any help thanks.

oh yea im a new guy on here lol
