Transmission Oil Pan Troubles
I have a '99 300M and have for a little over 3 yrs. I went to change the atf, and found one bolt missing, and in its place was some sort of sealant. After I removed the rest of the bolts I had noticed that the previous owners, or mechanic, had used this sealant on the whole pan and I cannot get the pan off to drain the fluid, and it needs it. Does anyone have any ideas on how to safely remove it? Thanks for any help.
RTV is the recommended gasket for Chrysler cars with a 42RLE trans
U leave 2 bolts in on the side unscrewed a little and then use a hammer and smack the side of the pan it will loosen up and fall down.
