Default Help with the backlit radio buttons

Hello, I have just installed a new RB3 navigator to my 98 Stratus (Sebring) convertible, that means that I converted the old 7 + 7 pin connectors to the new 22 pin single connector. I followed the service manual scheme to convert them, and the only missing cable is the J1850 bus cable that has no place in the old style connectors. The only unworking thing with my RB3 nav is that when I turn on the ext lights, the radio buttons don't turn on. I don't know if it has something to do with the J1850 or not.

I would be pleased to recibe all your help. Regards.
