Through use or abuse (with kids who knows) the ribbon wire that connects the fold down screen to the rest of the unit has shorted. I cannot seem to locate the screens manf. or any other info so I can locate a new ribbon. The dealership wants 700 for a replacemnet unit and 300 for install when all I need is a 39 cent wire, not gonna happen I will trade the vehicle in 1st!

Please anyone have some info... even a lead on a busted unit that i can strip the part out of.

SOOOOOOOOOO the good news and bad news... I did manage to track down the company that assembles the radios...... and actually got ahold of someone on the right dept..... then found out that they cant sell parts due to contract.. BUT he could probally "find" one on ebay for 2-300$.

basically sounds like the guy was wanting cash for a pocketed ribbon. I dropped the lead due to shadyness.
