Default Wired Headphones

Does anybody know a place to get a box or something that will convert the wireless signal so you can plug in a set of headphones with a wire. I have seen a "tutorial" on youtube where a guy tore apart a set of headphones for the vehicle and added a jack to it so you could plug in a wired set. The reason I ask is twofold. First the headphones can be expensive to replace (kids are hard on this stuff) and second I have a child with Sensory Perception Disorder and he won't wear the stock headphones. We have a couple of sets he will use for his Nintendo DS and Ipod but they are, of course, wired. Thanks.
I forgot to add, 2012 Town & Country with the VES with dual screens and dvd players.
