Chrysler Forum Editor,

I realize that this thread is about 3 years old BUT (imvho) MOTOR TREND is 100% WRONG about the Imperial.

In 2007, I bought a NAVY/navy leather, one-owner, 1994 Imperial with 26,000 miles & likely would still be driving it in 2019 except that it was TOTALED while it was parked at a roadside park by a drunk driver . = What I said, under my breath, when the state police notified me of the crash, is utterly UNPRINTABLE.

just my OPINION, tex

Addenda to the above comment.: MOTOR TREND should be MOTOR WEEK = Brain cramp!!

Btw, my Cadillac & Lincoln owning friends, who rode with me, always commented POSITIVELY about the "Blue Whale", when compared to other "freeway cruisers".

yours, tex

Taking into account how cars were built at that time period, the Imperials were pretty damned good cars.
And compared to atrocities such as Cadillac Cimarrons, they were downright amazing.
I have two of the Cadillac Cimarrons, and they were voted the 8th worst cars ever built by multiple automotive publications.
The Cimarrons suck badly, even when they were new, they played hell finding people to buy them, so most went straight to the scrapyard.
I actually hate the damned cars, and only drive them when I have to, but since Cadillac collectors want them for their collections, I'm holding on to them, until I get a good offer for them.
Rough ride, horrible handling and no power, even with a 2.8 (the big motor) in one of them that has less than 50,000 miles on it

BiliTheAxe,

Even though they really aren't "sought after" collector's items YET, I'm looking for a low mileage/one owner 1993 IMPERIAL with good leather interior, as a stablemate for my "new to me" 1991 LeBaron convertible.
(I have the feeling that my beloved will end up "adopting" the convertible, btw, as Darla says, "It's REALLY CUTE little car.".)

yours, tex.
