Yes it seem but its not. Somedody told my that it could bee the colant temp sensor. Can it be possible? I also found out from this form my I ad that ther is a calibration of the contols or sonthing like that. Should i try it? Eny aditional info will be given even fotos. Anything if it will help fix the problem.

it would recal the blend air door and mode door but they don't move unless u move the ***** regardless of the temp of the engine . The temp sensor reads the temp of the coolant in the engine that's all.

Tank you for your knowledgeable posts but let my run by you an other theory. Could it bee the thermostat. I don't know the circuit of the coolant in the 2.4 l engine. Traditionally the coolant flows from the engine to the heater until the thermostat opens then it flows to the radiator. Is this the case in the 2.4 dohc from the 04 chrysler sebring. The thermostat usually opens at about 90 degrees celsius (about 190 fahrenheit). If this is the case for the 2.4 engine then could the coolant drain from the heater when the thermostat opens (oldow in the coolant tank in the engine bay the coolant is between the low and heigh mark and when the engine is cool an I open the thermostat cover there is plenty of coolant in there and the coolant gauge never passes the half way mark). Is it safe to tray to run the engine without the thermostat?

a stuck closed thermostat would make the engine over heat because it would not be able to release the pressure build up and broken thermostat will make the engine run cold because there would be no build up of pressure.
