Default 17 MPG on a 2013 Chrysler 200

I'm getting between 16 - 17 MPG driving in the city on my 2013 Chrysler 200 and I have to refuel very frequently. Is this normal? Dealer says that this is normal but I check websites like fuelly and people are getting a lot better fuel economy than that.

Tires are good, spark plugs are brand new. Filter is good. Idk what's wrong but this car is going to make me broke.

Sounds like the gas mileage you are getting is low. You didn't specify which engine you have, and that will make a difference. Driving habits can be the biggest difference of all. Do you do a lot of stop and go driving in heavy traffic? Do you ride the brake pedal with your left foot? Do you do a lot of idling while not moving? Is your transmission shifting properly? Are any of the brakes dragging, including the parking brake? Oil and filter changed regularly? Transmission serviced as recommended in the owners manual? Do you have AWD? Has that been maintained properly?
