Well, as far as engine repair on the 2.7 goes, it's a bit beyond the curve for backyard repair. If you get the chains wrong, it's baaaad. On your 2006 you should be fine for quite a while. Just keep checking for leaks periodically just like you would on any car. In the later year models the pumps have been good for about 150K-160K miles
