Default 2000 Sebring JX / no bus /0 miles

I apologize if this has been answered before. We have a 2000 Sebring JX Convertible. It will show no bus 0 miles 8 out of ten times when we turn the key (ignition switch) on. The car will start and run fine. When it shows the no bus we lose the wipers, instrument cluster, interior lights, key in ignition bell, and convertible top. We've changed the computer, had the dash cluster apart looking for cold solder joints, checked connectors for corrosion, ect... anyone have any ideas??
Thank you very much in advance.
George

Have you considered the body computer?

I apologize for my ignorance. Where is the body computer? I retired from a mechanic in 1985. This modern stuff is crazy lol. Thank you,
George

On my 2001 it's attached to the interior fuse panel on the drivers side. Yours may be different but the change from 2000 to 2001 wasn't all that huge. You might want to invest in a shop manual, even if it's only a Chilton's or Haynes.

I agree with the body ecu comment, that's gotta be some sort of faulty software.
