Default 2001 Sbring Conv. Starter replacement

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

I need to replace the starter which appears to be located behind the front engine mount. Looks like you need to remove the engine mount from the block, is that correct or is there a easier way?

Thanks,
Gary

You need to remove the front downstream oxygen sensor, then remove the engine mount through-bolt. Then remove the engine mount bracket from the engine block.
Remove the battery cable from the starter and remove the lower starter bolt and the starter should come out.
