Default 2001 Sebring Clockspring problem

I have a 2001 sebring convertible and heard a click when I turned the wheel. I have googled this problem and found that it appears to be the clock spring.

Where can I find information on how to change the clock spring? A repair manual or such would be helpful. Is there any instructions online that I can view?

Thanks for the help.

I couldn't find anything quick, specific, or free online. But your local library may well have a Haynes or Chilton's repair manual, or be able to order one from another branch. (Sometimes manuals are categorized as "reference" books and not allowed out of the library, or transferred between them. But they can likely tell you where one is.) Your local auto parts store will gladly sell you one, but you might try online booksellers or ebay as well.

Most of the time the clockspring is just a pain in the rear, but not complicated. Getting the steering column apart can be tedious, but if you are patient and inventive, you can usually figure it out.

Good luck.
