Question 2001 sebring convertable dome lights issue

My dome lights on my sebring convertable 2001 do not turn off. Switch is in correct position on steering wheel. Everyone sais to look for the buttons on the door frame. There are no such buttons. i even had twi friends look. Is the switch connected to the latch inside the door ? Mirror lights also stay on no matter what i do. Looking for any kind of help Thank you

Pull the IOD fuse (fuse panel at left end of dash, fuse near center with "ears" on it) so you don't kill the battery. That will also kill the clock, power seats, remote key unlocking and anything else that works without the key in the ignition.

Yes, the switch is built into the door latch, not a button on the door frame.

"Could be" a lot of things. Somebody's going to have to get into it and track down the problem.
