So basically don't do this unless you have the entire front clip of a 2000+ v6 Eclipse. Thank you for the clarity on this issue. can anyone confirm if the 3.0 bolts up to the 2.7? just thinking that if it does I might just push through with this. how much harder can it be then wiring a K series into a D series bay?

Funny you say swapping a K like thats just a piece of cake. I mean the new axles, the KPRO ECU req, the engine wiring harness, the adapter harness, the new exhaust, intake, headers, fuel setup, mounts...Bro I just find it funny that you used the Kswap as a reference of simplicity. In Your defense though I do agree that it should be easier since the 3.0 is already native in the sebring. Im not exactly sure if your referring to another v6 engine. All in all figuring out the wiring would be the headache in my oppinion. There is no aftermarket really for these cars. No one would really want to do this swap.

Well, take lots of pix and write up a report when you are finished. We'll be looking forward to it.

The 3.0 is made by Mitsubishi and the 2.7 is made by Chrysler, The Sebring coupe is made by Mitsubishi, thats why it has the 3.0 in it. The two engines share no parts. The transmissions do not interchange.

Thank YOU SO MUCH! It was just blowing my mind that the same car could be so vastly different that explains it all. I have been looking at the Eclipse wiring and the sebring wiring and it's just ehhh so giving up on that.

I will probably go the 3.5L route like this guy http://www.tom-viki.com/gallery/gall...pt5engine.html I just need to find a smaller intake manifold for the 3.5L than the Pacifica I don't wanna buy a Cowl induction style hood for a sebring it would like lame..
