Default 2001 Sebring LXI Sedan... motor to replace 2.7?

I have a blown 2.7 in my 2001 Sebring LXI Sedan and want to know exactly what my options are here for replaceing it with a different size motor if any. What else would bolt up the same, or be close enough with minor changes? Please help?

This subject has been discussed numerous times here in the forum. The only reasonable option is to put the same engine back in. None of the other V-6's that Chrysler has produced in the past several years will reasonably go in there. Even the 2.7L engine has been changed over the years so unless you're ready to take on a huge project, find an exact replacement.

I had seen the post about the guy wanting to replace a 2.7 in his 01 Sebring Convertable, and was told it wouldn't work. But I wanted to know specifically if their were any alternatives. Thank you dcotter!
