When the driver side window is raised it seals off just fine but after a few minutes it startes to whistle. If I press the button to raise it there is no change and it continues to whistle but if I lower it first, then raise it again, the noise stops for a few minutes then starts all over again. ???

 

does the window drop down? if not your looking at a weather stripping problem around the door.
