Question 2004 Sebring issues

Hey guys~

I have a 04 sebring 2.4L. On the way home from work, the car stalled/sputtered for a brief moment, oil light came on, check engine light came on and car started to run rough. I immediately pulled over and shut it down. My car would crank over but would not fire. Prior to this I have not had any issues with the car and I've always maintained the car and have taken great care of it. Any idea what could be going on? The engine did not die therefore it did not throw a code. Had to end up getting my baby towed and it's sitting at a mechanics shop as we speak. I normally wouldn't do this but I don't have the time to work on it. Thoughts?

Thanks so much!

If the check engine light came on as stated in your post, then there's a code in there somewhere. Start there. No point in long distance guessing.
