How to switch off traction control?
you already got the answer, there is a button/push down switch on steering column behind steering wheel. This is used to turn on/off TC. It turns ON each time you start car.
i have this in 2.7L 2006 Sebring Touring.

Traction control on my 2006 is perfect in that it does not make any noises when switch button on top of steering wheel is pressed on or off. Check and spray WD40 on wheel sensors and make sure ring gear teeth on the abs are clean.
