Exclamation 2005 Sebring 2.4 Temp Gauge Problem

Hey guys. I'm noticing something odd going on with my temperature gauge. After driving for 20-30 minutes on a 60 degree day, the gauge will not go over the 1/4 mark. It fluctuates between 1/4 and the line above cold. The car runs and drives just fine, and nothing seems out of the ordinary. However, the check engine light is on but I'll get around to getting that scanned later today. Coolant isn't boiling, and it's not losing coolant at all, so I'm really not too sure what's going on. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

You can get codes without scanning by doing the "key dance": Key from off to on to off to on to off to on. Codes show up in the odometer space.

Fluctuating temp readings can be a sign of low coolant or air in the system. Could also be a bad connection at the sender.

What what the pattern of readings previously?
