2006 sebring

Default 2006 sebring

My wife was driving down the highway and the car just shut down,like it ran out of gas.Fuel guage shows half full.went ahead and put more gas in it but the car just turns over and wont fire up any ideas?

Most likely the crankshaft sensor, but you can look elswhere first. Find your ASD (Automatic ShutDown) relay and play with the connector. They get dirty sometimes. Look back through the posts to find specific information about it. Also, the distributor is suspect, but it is quite expensive, so try the crankshaft sensor first if you have to buy things.

Other questions that can help with diagnosis:
Do you have spark?
Do you have fuel pressure?
What motor do you have?
