2006 Sebring sedan keyfob issues
Hi guys. I have an ‘06 Sebring 4 dr sedan hardtop with 2.4L motor. I bought used and have done my fair share of work to it. Anyway I had a keyfob come with it but it’s never worked. I’d like to try to find out why. I’m pretty sure the keyfob itself is good cause I was able to use it I think successfully to enter program mode on the car but I couldn’t finalize it or I did something wrong??
How owe would I check to see if the cars receiver is 100% as well as test remote too??
Thanks in advance, guys.

Before you do anything else, you may want to replace the battery in the fob. No telling how old it is. Instructions for programming another fob are found in the owners manual. You can download an owners manual from chrysler.com if you don't have one. Fobs are available for purchase on the aftermarket. If your fob cannot be made to work, you may have to resort to paying a dealer to program one for you. Given the age of the car, this could be a problem. I think I'd talk to a locksmith first. For obvious reasons, programming a fob is not a simple DIY proposition if you don't have a working one.
