Easy way to deal with this problem: Put the lug nuts back on, but leave them one or two turns loose. Lower the car back to the ground and shake the car side to side by pushing on it. The weight of the car will invariably break the wheel loose. This is a handy trick you can use at the side of the road when you haveto change awheel that's stuck. No extra tools required.
