Default 2008 sebring 2.4l auto trans problem pls help

I have 2008 sebring 2.4l with 4sp auto trans on it. When I put it in D the car won't move till i step on the gas abit, after that it ok even at stop when I release the brake it does move like normal.It does down shift alillte hard when come to stop. No engine light or any sign of trans went bad before that. Anyone did run over problem like this please help. I work oversea at a small country that mechanic here have mo idle what going on with it. Thanks alot

Check the transmission fluid level. If it's low add only the proper fluid as spelled out in the owners manual. It may be due for a change if you are nearing about 60,000 miles of use.
If that doesn't fix it, find a transmission shop where they know what they are doing. It's a very complex mechanism.

Thanks for your relpy. I check everything ( I have some automotive back ground).I did not change fluild 'cause it has only 34000 miles on it.I work in VietNam and machenic here don't really know what going on. I did some research and they talk alot a bout the solenoid pack and input speed sensor. I will try to have them import and try on help it works

If you can find a facility with proper equipment, have them check for error codes stored in the transmission control computer. Special equipment is necessary to do this.
