Default 2008 Sebring IMRC valve installation problem

Hi all

Trying to install a intake manifold runner control valve on a 2008 Chrysler Sebring with the 2.4 engine

Can’t seem to get the male end of the valve to line up with the female end on the intake manifold.

Any idea how to manipulate either end to get the part in?

The female end only moves ever so slightly.

Thank you in advance

Don't know if you are aware,but... on the 2.4 motor IMRC for 08 and 09 Chrysler Sebring/200 and Dodge Avenger(all the same mechanicals cars), the control rod and vanes inside the intake manifold are known to gum up and stick the control rod that the solenoid you're trying to change is supposed to move. It doesn't move a lot but sounds like yours is not moving enough or freely enough, due to not being able to line up the connection link. There are some good you tube videos online that should help you out, use the key words how to fix code_ _ _ _ the code escapes my "brain" for the IMRC at this posting time.
Good Luck!
