ok so please help me my daughter has a 1996 sebring drop top jxi. the org. factory head unit that was in it the volume control would not work at all. so we got a new head unit thought it would be a easy swap out. well doing it was easy but we have now ran into a problem that has me my brother and three friends stumped. the radio will play when the ignition is turned on to acc. only if the key is turned all the way backwards no sound when the car is running no sound. yet when the key is turned forward but not far enough to start the car we get sound. does anyone have any idea what could be the cause and how to fix it? thank you in advance

 

all fuses have been checked also

 

you wired it up wrong.

 

it is a factory radio just plug and play. no splicing of any wires what so ever even tried 2 radios

 

and will the other orginal radio work? if so you have the wrong radio for that car

 

yes the org worked but volume button was broke and we dbl checked on get the the right radio. it is the same exact one

 

with all things considered the only thing removed replaced is the head unit. no other head unit works but put same one back in everything works so no they are not the same units.
